Checking actual furnace capacity can help determine how well the furnace is actually performing as compared to its the rated capacity. This is a simple test that can be performed relatively quick with the right tools and every HVAC/furnace technician should be aware of its value. In this video we utilized two Testo 605i smart probers in conjunction with the Testo Smart app. One major component needed is airflow, you must measure the air flow or look it up in the furnace airflow tables as we did in this video and enter it into the app.
