How To Check Evaporator Superheat – it is very important for any HVAC and refrigeration technician performing service, maintenance or start ups to understand superheat and how to check it. Evaporator superheat is slightly different than checking superheat at the compressor and that is explained in this video. Evaporator superheat can easily be checked by measuring the saturated conditions of the evaporator (SST) and then measuring the actual pipe temperature at the evaporator outlet.
