Teaching HVAC ELECTRICAL Wiring, Components, Troubleshooting to Students using a Training Board!

In this HVAC Training Video, I show How to Use an HVAC Electrical Training Board to Teach Electrical Wiring, Components, Wiring Diagrams, and Electrical Troubleshooting. I use a Multi-Meter, MagJumpers, and Alligator Jumpers to Teach the Thermostat Operation, Thermostat Color Code, and to Jump out 120v and 24v Contacts on the Switches/Relays! I Show a Connection Diagram, Schematic Diagram, and a Wiring Legend to Show How the Electrical Testing Board Operates! Make and Use this Board in the Classroom under the Instruction of a Licensed HVACR Teacher for Safety while Learning! Supervision is needed by a licensed HVACR Tech while performing tasks as Experience and Apprenticeship garners Wisdom and Safety.

This is so freaking helpful thank you !

  2. nightone

It's better to use a ladder diagram for students to use to build off of because then they can't just copy the connections diagram wire for wire.

  3. The Latin Arrow

How do i build this set up to teach myself and improve

  4. Tae Phillips

Great video. We had fuses that got taken out to wire up different circuits with different variations of switches and contractors and such and then they would check it w the fuses. No ground fault safety tho that’s fancy. You should teach in a school if you don’t already.

  5. Jodany Paul

Thank for your help man good explanation

  6. robert rdz

Where I can get the diagram

  7. Anzwar The Commander

Pull the camera back some and show us the legend and both diagrams at the same time you’re looking at your board so we (me/I) get the big picture. Great video

  8. K G

How would i wire a control board into this schematic without causing a fire or blowing up any fuses on my setup?

  9. WILD PLANT WOODSMAN

What’s the total cost for this project using the parts listed?

Do I actually need the fan sequencer if I’m connecting the g wire to the thermostat or does the thermostat automatically sequence the fan? Can the sequencer be swapped for a relay?

  11. Sam Almo

Great video, where is the PTD102 – Delay-On-Make Timer used on this? It is on the electrical components list, I just don't see it on the board.

  12. OthmanEmpire

Thanks for the video, lovely kit you made =)

  13. Ron Muntz

Nice training board, but in Ontario, the electrical authority would be all over it for safety infractions. That’s what we need to deal with, there’s no room for common sense any more.

  14. David Maldonado

where do i get the schematic from you.

  15. gian

    Very Good !

I'm starting basic electricity in an HVAC course and I'm already intimidated . Do you have to be super smart to learn this stuff any tips? I just don't want to get lost from the beginning once it starts and get left behind. What should I focus on/ Thanks anyone that has advice.

  21. Angel Delgado

Can you do other videos with the others components like blower, transforme. Thanks a lot teacher

  22. CCK

Excellent video. Can anyone tell please what is "common" and what's it's importance in AC and DC circuit troubleshooting?
    Thanks.

  23. Frank James

i changed the thermostat and now nothing works except the blower… even without the thermostat connected to the board it stays on.
i have not blown a fuse or lost power in the main board.
The gas valve is a smart valve and power for the inducer motor is coming from main board to the gas valve but no power is going to the inducer from the gas valve, does that mean the gas valve connector/board is no good?
i checked the limit and rolls outs, all showing continuity with power coming and going.
The connector on the gas valve for the inducer motor is 4 wires.. black and white IN (which has power ) and black and white out ( to inducer having NO power) …is this a direct connection ? or is there something else that needs to be satisfied before power is sent to inducer?i trying to figure out if there is anything i didn't checki can bring a guy in but i REALLY want to understand the problem 1st

I just fund out you are from NJ.
I been looking you videos for 2 years and I just discovered you are from here NJ,
Thank you for your good videos

I need to see you making a video about pipe sizing and regulators on Lp and use the Chart again in LP. Because the way you explain is amazing

    Thank you Again 🙏

I did this wiring system at the school I go to, it gives you a really good idea how the wiring systems works. And what is power by 120 and what is power by 24… I hope once I graduate I get to be trained by someone like you and not a rude person.. great video

  28. b1conis

Our instructor had a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood with components on it. This is much easier. 45 years ago I was a student at the New Orleans School of Refrigeration on Mazant street. Aint dare no more as the Chalmations would say.

where was this when i first started ugh! what a simple circuit !!!!!! the fun comes when you have to deal with 50 tons 🙂

  32. Muhammad Munir

Really like your training videos. By the way do you have video explaining layout of a HVAC workshop and tools & Equipment required in it. (Scope of workshop Split Air conditioners & Refrigerators.

  33. Jenny Leung

wow— i wish i know what you said, only know 10%, still have a long way to go. thank you, i have been watching your video everyday since i found you , also purchased your book. thank you again.

Thank you , I needed to know how to turn on my AC from a 24v power supply from my Environmental controller in my grow room. You have made my day.

  35. Ameritech 1

well,well…..you are teaching totally negative form, you are talking over and over and make more confusion to the students. you need to review totally,

  36. David V

What a neat way to teach this stuff. very cool

  37. Help Me

What’s the price for everything for to build a setup like that?

  38. Austin Wilson

What meter would you recommend for a new tech just starting out ?

  39. Jermain Carty

I have been watching your videos for a while and I find your very very passionate and very skilled in your knowledge and workmanship.

I have upgraded my Skills as a HVAC technician because of your channel.

I hope one day to be in your classroom to learn more. Maybe if your in the Netherlands. Haha.

Keep putting out these great, learnful content. So we can do our job a little bit better each time and with more confidence.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate your videos and dedication.
