Artificial intelligence is taking control of some building air-conditioning systems to make them more energy efficient in Singapore. By ensuring the environment is neither too cold nor too hot, a “digital brain” has managed to cut energy bills by more than 30% for the Singapore Institute of Technology. The software learns how to predict temperatures based on seasonal weather, or how crowded a spot can get at certain times. The digital solution is by SP Group and intelligence solutions provider 75F to help cut down energy use in buildings.
